Kairos’ electronic roots go back to the early ‘90s Frankfurt electronic music scene. Since he was too young to kick it in the clubs, he started heavily consuming the music by taping it off the radio. In 1994 he became fascinated with the quickly rising cosmos of jungle & drum n’ bass music. Inspired by the energy and futurism of artists like Krust, Digital, Photek and Dillinja, he took his first steps in producing and was soon dropping a few dub plates alongside his friends from the Frankfurt d&b scene.
With his move to Berlin, Kairos stepped right onto the fruitful soil of the city's minimal sound. After shortly parting ways with the break-beats of his Frankfurt days, he is now trying to reconcile his rhythmic roots with the glitchy sounds of today’s minimal madness. His style now runs the gamut between minimal, acid, detroit and neotrance.
In 2004 Kairos and four friends founded the netlabel Pentagonik. He is responsible for Pentagoniks music and artists.
